About Us

The Madcity Drone Racing group started in 2015 as a way to organize hobbyists for the emerging sport of FPV drone racing. We regularly meet at The Bodgery.

We have been racing multi rotors in parking garages for quite a few months now. I think we should be friends. When do you race?

Hi Josh, good to know you’re out there. Most of our group is getting ready to buy their first setups, so no races just yet. I’d expect we would have our first races in about a month from now. In the meantime, keep an eye on the Bodgery’s meetup page for drone build days. I’m almost always there on open shop nights, too.

I would like to get involved, how do I do that??

Greetings! I currently have two fpv setups flying, and 1 los trainer. I’d be down to race, possibly help setup events and assist with builds. I’ve been trying to get by on a Sat for a build day meetup but my work schedule conflicts. I have had decent luck flying at public grounds around Gov. Nelson state park and outside Sun Prairie. Hopefully we can get a flyday meetup set soon.
    Thanks!

I just finished my first 250 build. No FPV gear yet but will be adding it on soon. I am really interested in getting to know other racers and get into racing.

    Is there a mailing list?

    Hi,

I am Bill Mulligan with Remote Pilot Solutions. We are the first commercial drone services company in Wisconsin. We are currently hiring pilots. We have first class drones and have taken care of all the administrative work allowing our pilots to only focus on flying.

    Thanks,
    Bill

I’m a new flyer planning on coming to the race this weekend. I noticed you can get a free 15′ turn flag on the Rotogeeks site http://fpvracing.ca/ if you meet their criteria. Just thought I would let you know.

    • Charlie says:

Thanks Brandon! I will check out that web site.

We hope to see you on Sunday. Let me know if you have any questions or need directions… Are you on our email distribution list?

I’ve been getting better at my race quad just zipping around for fun with my own obstacles. Someone told me I was good enough to race now. Do you ever race on days other than Sundays? I have responsibilities with my church but would like to join you some time.

Race quads: Nighthawk Pro 280, Diatone Tyrant 180.
